Marie "Kitty" Doss Miear

May 14, 1921 - July 16, 2022

Kitty Miear of Forest, passed peacefully in the arms of Jesus on Saturday, July 16, 2022. She was born to the late Thomas B and Harriett M. Doss of Appomattax and was married to the late Allen Buck Miear for 59 years.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Miear (Shirley) of Forest; daughter-in-law, Ruth Litchford; grandchildren, Patricia Litchford, Chrystal Litchford, Sarah Guilfoyle (and husband, Zak) as well as her great-grandchild, Alice Guilfoyle; brother, Pete Doss and numerous nieces and nephews. Kitty was preceded in death by her son, Cecil Litchford, three brothers and five sisters.

She retired from PettyJohn Shoe Company. Kitty loved to bowl, play bingo and cards. She enjoyed camping in Daytona with her husband and special friends and family.

There will be no visitation or service at the funeral home, but a graveside service will be on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Virginia Memorial Park and will be conducted by the Rev. Ron Davidson of Lebanon Untied Methodist Church.
