Mitchell Clark Obituary
Mitchell Brent Clark, 20, of 1823 Taylors Gap Road, North Garden, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, July 13, 2007, as a result of injuries sustained from an automobile accident.
Born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, May 27, 1987, he was a son of Gregory Brent and Joy Ellen Reitz Clark of North Garden.
Mitch was a graduate of Lynchburg Christian Academy and was currently a second year student at Piedmont Virginia Community College. He was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church and was employed by ACAC Fitness and Wellness Center.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother and sister, Brett Alexander Clark and Jenna Noelle Clark, both of North Garden; paternal grandparents, Albert Thomas and Patricia Diane Clark of Walters Falls, Ontario Canada; and his great-grandmother, Myrtle Edmonstone, Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Bible Baptist Church, Appomattox, with Pastor Robert E. Lee, officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Tuesday, until the time of the service at Bible Baptist Church.
Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to send a gift in Mitch's name to Bible Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2014, Appomattox, VA 24522, to assist a student with financial needs.

Greg and Joy,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Mitchell. Though we haven't remained in contact over the years, this loss hit very close to home since Mitchell and our daughter Allison are almost the same age. I pray that the Lord will strengthen each of you through this most difficult trial. Remember James 1:12 -- "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial, for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him."

Dear Greg and Joy,
I just heard the news of your son from Tracey. There are no words to express how sorry I am for your loss. Mitchell was a handsome boy! His smile reminded me so much of Greg. From the words people wrote, it is easy to see that he touched many people during his life here and he will continue to even in his passing, for he has now touched mine.
Please take comfort in knowing that God has a purpose for everything even when we cannot see it and be happy knowing that you have a day to look forward to being with Mitchell again.

Yours is a special family and Mitchell's life is proof. His quiet spirit and strength of character honored his family, friends, and the Lord. I am proud to have known and worked with him in our 4th grade class at LCA. I have only fond memories of him. Mitchell was such a sweet boy and great football player. We will remember him, along with our son Ben and the other LCA varsity football players, winning the LCA state championship. I never got to actually talk and hang out with mitch, he was a grade ahead of me. But whenever i saw him, he had a smile on his face. I know i will miss him, and wish i would've got to know him better, but i know he is happy now, and rejoicing, because he is in Heaven with Christ!..we will miss you mitch

I spend most of my summer at The ACAC Waterpark. Even though I did not know Mitch on a personal level, I feel compelled to write something about him because he was always a positive presence at the pool. Mitch was an amazing guy on and off the football field. He displayed Christ everywhere he went. Knowing Mitch and seeing him in school, you could just tell that he had so many friends. He was just such a kind person. He truly lived life everyday to the fullest. I will be praying hard for the Clark family that they do not loose sight of the great fact that Mitch is in a MUCH better place and we WILL see him again one day. I knew Mitchell from Dr. Martin's dental office. I was his dental assistant and I would always look forward to seeing all the members of the Clark family come in. I remember Mitch as a bright, inquisitive sixth grade student. He was one of the most respectful students that I taught at LCA. I will always remember his charming smile.
