Elaine,
I am so glad that I took the time to call Tom when he was on my mind, the day before he went to be with the Lord. God put it on my heart to call my buddy. He will be missed but I know that he is no longer in pain and that comforts me. I know he's having grits with a really ripe tomato with God! Love you and take care.

I weep with you in the lost of your husband. I know how it is to lose a spouse. It's hard, and I know. But Praise the Lord,I rejoice with you knowing where he is today, at home with the LORD. Tom was a good man that loved the Lord, and I'll miss him. He always had a special smile for everyone, and I dont beleive he ever met a stranger. I admire him for his ministry he had at Temple.I know those guys will miss him.
I'll be remembering each of you in prayer. Each of you have a lot of wonderful memories, and those memories along with your friends, and most of all, the Lord will help you during this time. If I can help you in any way, please let me know. God bless...

I was very saddened to see Tom's obituary moments ago. I knew he had health difficulties but didn't realize they had progressed so far. I served with him during my time in the Amherst Gideon Camp and knew him to be passionate in his endeavers to reach people for Christ. God had given him a special love for our Hispanic neighbors and I know they will miss him and the efforts he made to help them. I sincerely extend my prayers and sympathy to Elaine and their family.

Love in Him
