Dominick was the foundation of what a friend and a partner is suppose to be. He knew how to listen and his answers were simple and to the point. There will be none like him again. Take care Dom.

Through my life from a lttle kid Dominick was there, splashing each other in rain puddles on the way home from school, bicycle riding, playing stickball, Johnny on the pony,ring-a-levio,(I can't even remember how to say it, let alone spell it). Making a scarecrows to throw off the roof, throwing snowballs and the best was making an igloo in front of Dom's house, then hosing it down till it was a block of ice. Then the cities new snow machine broke trying to chop it up. Besides growing up together we worked at Eastern and American Airlines, boy could we have written a book.
I'm not saying Goodbye to him, because he will always be with me.

Regardless of how cold or nasty it got on the line; we always found something to laugh about, when all else failed we laughed at ourselves. A class mechanic and fantastic person, you will be missed by many my friend; rest in peace.

Where to begin, Dominick was our best man at our wedding, he has always remained a great friend. Our friendship goes back at least 33 years. He use to come over to our apartment and always bring a bottle of Mateus wine. A lot of good times were shared then. Unfortunetly marriage, kids and jobs didn't alway allow our families to see each other often enough. I was glad to have visited him and caught up on good times. He will sadly be missed. All my love to Maureen and Michael.

What can one say, when one loses a friend such as DOM. He was an inspiration to us all and will never be forgotten for all his knowledge, help, and motivation. God bless and may you rest in peace.

I am heart broken to hear the news of Dominick's passing. LGA has always been the "Home of Champions" and in that home..... Dominick was at the top of the list. There were so many times that he bailed me out of a jam. When ever we needed the airplane fixed..... Dominick was the man. Putting the technical stuff aside, Dominick was a gentlemen, and a compasionate man. He will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers to the Apone family.

I worked LGA for 5 years in the 90's and everyone knew and respected this humble gentleman. My thoughts and prayers are with all of those left behind to carry on his legacy.

We will all mourn the loss of Dominick he was a great guy and all ways willing to help you out. Even at 3 AM. The big question is who is doing the other half of Al Pero's airplane on the night shift at LGA
Who ever it is they will never measure up to Dominick. May he rest in and peace and may God watch over those he left behind.
