Dear Mary,
I am so sorry we lost touch. He was the most important mentor to me in our profession. He made me strive for excellence, and he was a pioneer at a time when dentistry needed a champion. And he was that champion.
I know that any contributions I made to our profession have been a direct result of my relationship with him. He was a great believer in what oral surgery could do to better the lives of people.
Amy joins me in sending our heartfelt (if belated) condolences to you and the family.
Best,
Stanley Small

Dorothy, my prayers are with you and your family. When the expression "good people" is said, you and Ray are the first names that come to mind. May he rest in peace, he was a good disciple...
