To my good friend- Rick, I still can't believe you are gone. I wish I could have come say goodbye to you with your family and friends. I will never forget the moments we spent together this summer. In the little time we had you taught me a lot about life. Things I don't know where else I would have learned but from someone like you. I was drawn towards you, I saw myself in you and maybe you saw some of yourself in me, nevertheless, we quickly connected and became good friends. I'll always remember you and keep you close, you were like a brother to me, I loved how open minded you looked at life, how young at heart you were and your humorous nature even in times of pain. You changed my Life Rick, I never got to tell you that, but I think you saw that in me and knew that I admired you. Thank you for everything you shared with me. I can't express enough how cool of a person you really were, it was a pleasure to meet you, look after me, help me grow, and guide me from above.
Your friend always, Paulo C. Torres
P.S. oh yeah.....enjoy the sneakers up there :)

There are no words meaningful enough to express my sorrow. Personally, I am having a hard time believing that you are no longer here; however, your memory will never die. I will always remember your smile, your brilliance, your humor and your wit. I will always remember the late nights at the office (especially on Fridays when I wanted to leave); your black and white marble composition book that no one would ever be able to decipher but you knew exactly what was in it. You were taken from everyone too soon and have left a hole in so many hearts. You will be sorely missed but never forgotten. My prayers are with your family and those left behind. Rick, I will never forget you!
