To Mr. and Mrs Ed Davey and the entire family. It was with great and unexpected sadness that I learned of the passing of a very dear and old friend this evening. how i remember him lighting up our house as children with his infectious smile and laughter. One of a kind, the best kind. And he got that from his parents as well as his brothers and sisters. God Bless you Tim.

From a simple old Brit, I extend my sympathies to all who knew Tim... I was honoured to work with him at the original Wembley stadium when I ran the Game Clock.. Tim was the complete professional tempered with a real understanding of both event and people management.... proud to have known him. Dave Norton

My sincerest condolences to all of you, Tim's family and friends. Timmy was a wonderful, bigger than life kinda guy! I knew him from my days with the NY Jets, and no matter what the situation, Timmy always had a humorous commentary (or impersonation!). He was also one of the fairest people I know and fiercely devoted to his family. I was happy to follow his success at the NFL and it was always fun to see him from time to time when he came to Florida on business, where I'd see him at the Miami Dolphins facility. My thoughts and prayers are with you all that God will give you peace and fill the void in your hearts.

Dear Davey Family,
I am deeply saddened by the loss of a great man and gentle giant. You can find comfort in the great respect and admiration that was held of him and you can be very proud of his representation of the whole Davey family. He learned his unselfishness and generous nature from the home he was raised in. All the Davey's are tremendous and wonderful people. Timmy loved life, lived life, and took every opportunity to help others. We should all learn from his example. My deepest condolences and love are sent your way.

I'll never forget his constant smile, the gleam in his eyes that came from his heart, his unique voice and his hugs. He will be sorely missed by everyone whose life he touched.
To borrow a few lines- My daughters thank him, My sons thank him, my grandaughter thanks him and I thank him. He was a Rare "Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity"- Twas heaven to be with him.

January 12, 2010

To the Davey Family,
I first meet Timmy in the spring of 1972, he was a student trainer at Lock Haven State College and I played on the football team. That friendship has lasted nearly 40 years.
The last time I spoke with Timmy was Christmas Eve day, and he was so looking forward to spending Christmas with his family; he was so proud of all of you.
I can not begin to tell you all of the things that Timmy has done for me and so many others, he has left a permanent mark on all of our hearts.
I am honored to have him as my friend and I hope that your burden of pain is eased somewhat...knowing that Timmy was loved by so many and cared for deeply.
With Heartfelt Prayers and Sympathy!

It is with a heavy heart that I send these condolences to the Davey family and to everyone whom Tim touched throughout his life. I first met Tim in 1985 during my rookie year with the Jets, and as a former "trainer", Tim just took me into his fold. While our time at the Jets was shortlived, I remained in contact with Tim through the years as a friend and through the NFL. He had a tremendous heart and compassion for people, and while at times he may have been blunt and too the point, he always kept things in perspective and put a smile on your face. A truly great person has been lost - someone who touched so many people in so many ways. His impact on all will probably never be fully realized but I can say I am a better person for having known and been a friend to Tim. May you rest in peace in that big football stadium in the sky and I will be confident in knowing that heaven is a better place with TD looking over things. God bless to all, and may time and fond memories heal the sorrow in your hearts as it will mine.

My Man...Timmy, as I always called him...One of the greatest human beings you will ever get to know in your lifetime (such a short lifetime it is). No matter what time of day or night you could always call on him. He was ALWAYS wherever you needed or wanted him, without question.
Whenever I gave him a hug he would giggle like a little kid and he didn't want to stop the hug. I will always keep that in my heart. You would tell him that you loved him (I Love you Timmy) and he always loved you back!
Timmy came to my wedding 8 1/2 years ago and I was so excited that he was able to make it, as it meant the world to me to have him there! He would light up a room by just walking in it.
I remember a day that my dad was really sick in the hospital and I called on Timmy knowing they were such GREAT FRIENDS...I was beside myself and once again he knew just what to say to change the mood and make me laugh. Timmy was there in a flash to check on my dad and make sure all was OK...
TIMMY...My MAN...My BROTHER… left us on this earth once again being SELFLESS by not burdening us with any illness he was feeling. You would never know that he was not feeling well, because he always had a smile on his face no matter how crumby he felt. He touched so many lives in only the 58 years that he was here, and because of him, we are all better people and are BLESSED for having known him!!! My Man, Timmy...Rest in Peace and may God Bless you and keep you in His arms!!! Love you and always will.

To the Davey Family: Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of the most prolific graduate Calhoun has ever seen. His optimism, integrity and concern for others was unsurpassed.

His humor and demeanor was infectious...you couldn't help but smile and laugh with Tim, it wasn't possible!

As evidenced yesterday, he is missed by so many good people...what a testament to his character and the example he set. Even though we haven't seen each other in recent years, I am honored to call him friend and that will never change.

God bless you all, especially Tim!

January 11, 2010

The Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania Foundation would like to extend our sincere condolences to Tim's family, friends and co-workers. Tim was a 1974 graduate of LHU and always was quick to point out how much he appreciated his education and the friends he made at Lock Haven. Through the years he was very supportive of a variety of our projects, including holiday receptions in NYC and various fund-raisers connected with LHU. Although his busy schedule would many times not allow it, we always enjoyed seeing him when he could get away. Tim was a special gentleman and will be missed by the entire LHU community.

I met Tim through Rich Santana. Tim came to Newark, Delaware to watch me wrestle in the 2001 Senior National Tournament. From that day forward my life has changed. I have had the Honor and Privilege of knowing "T," Tim Davey for 9 years. During my time at Boston University, Tim was a Mentor, Father Figure and most of all great friend. The Davey family opened their doors to my mother and me for the Thanksgiving holiday on numerous occasions. In the short time that I knew Tim we shared countless memories and laughs. I will miss our conversations, T's great advice and most of all his letters that usually ended in "who loves you baby?" We shared a special bond and friendship that I will miss dearly and forever cherish. I have never met such a genuine, positive and caring person. My heart goes out to the Davey family during these hard times. Tim touched the lives of many and he will greatly be missed by all.

Aloha Tim,

Thank you so much for all you have done for me and my family. I will miss you during Pro Bowl week in Hawaii.
Rest my friend.

January 10, 2010

Dear Davey Family,

This is Patrick Guerriero from Lock Haven Pa and Lock Haven University. Tim and I have become very close over the past 5 years. He was/is an amazing human being. I helped develop the Dave Tomasi Memorial Golf tournament here at LHU. With out Tim's generosity and time, the event would not have been as successful. Recently, he invited my son and I to his office in NYC. What a tremendous experience. In just a short time, we could see how much he was loved and admired by the staff. He was a man who would have done anything for anyone. He was well loved by his LHU family and will be dearly missed.

God Bless,
Patrick and Nicholas Guerriero

To Timmy's family. I knew Tim during his days with the Jets primarily through a mutual friend, Ron Cohen, who was formerly with the Jets' PR office. Since then we've had infrequent but very pleasant contact. He always called m "doc."

I will miss Tim's infectious laughter and warmth, and offer my condolences to you all.

It was a very sad day when I heard Timmy pasted away. I have worked with Tim and he has been my friend for last 12 years. I have always held him in the highest regard and respect. I saw him last at the Baltimore Raven Stadium in November. He teased me about my wearing my 2009 Pro Bowl Shirt that he had given me. Right before Christmas 2009, I called him and I will always remember how happy he was to hear from me. He was a good man and I will miss him. My condolensces to his family and to everyone who had the pleasure to meet Tim.

"TD" The God Father of Long Beach Wrestling - helped guide and change the lives of many. He guided me through some of my most difficult times. I thank God, I had someone like Tim in my life. I will miss him tremendously. There was no grey area with him. He taught me to be resilient and never give up. When everyone else gave up on me, Tim remained steadfast in my corner. With his emotional support through college, I was able to become a two-time All-American. When the ref raised my hand,I pointed to him in the stands, meaning, this one was for you TD. I am a walking and living miracle and most of it has to do with Tim and his unconditional love. I am married now, with a beautiful wife and son. I thank God, that Tim had a chance to meet my son and say," It's about time you got it together." My condolensces to his immediate family and the enormous extended family he accumulated through the years. I love you TD. Rich Santana 'Syracuse University Grad - Class of 92'"

My wonderful memories of Tim began when he was showing his management skills as Mayor of Calhoun. Walter and I were privileged to follow him through his college years, and his days on Hofstra's field with the Jets; and to rejoice with him when he had his kidney transplant. I share with his wonderful family a great sense of loss, and offer them prayers for easing their burden of sorrow. Rest in peace, Timmy! You've lived a good life! Helen K. Schick (Mrs. Walter J.)
