Marsha Peterson Obituary
Marsha Lynn Peterson, of Panama City, Fla., entered into the arms of her Savior Jesus after a long fight with cancer on July 8, 2009. She was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., on August 5, 1946 and moved to California at a young age. At 16, she married the man of her dreams, her husband, Thomas E Peterson, of 46 years of marriage.
They eloped to Las Vegas, Nev., on April 27, 1963. There love grew fast and were blessed with their three chil-dren, David M. Peterson, Paul M. Peterson and Tina M. Peterson Perry all residing in Panama City, Fla. Marsha also has two wonderful grandchildren, Todd and Rachel.
She worked for Mountain Bell Phone Company in Colorado from 1978-1985. Mountain Bell turned into US West where she had retired with a long-term medical disability.
The happiest days of her life were the birth of her three children, David, Paul and Tina; both grandchildren Todd and Rachel;, days of Salvation (Church on the Way, California), the meeting of her family in Michigan, family gatherings and when her daughter moved to Florida, playing spades and enjoying memory lane.
Survived By:
My Dear Husband Thomas:
For all the days and many many nights, you sat with me at home or in the hospital, I THANK YOU! No one could ever fill your place in this or any other area. You have been my jewel and I LOVE YOU and wish only to feel your arms around me now. However, that cannot be, may you always love me as I Love You and may we share eternity together in perfection, you are what Jesus knew I would need on this Earth. Your love and example is immeasurable now and forever.
SELAH
David:
My first-born son, who I almost lost at his young age of 12, when he fell from a tree unto his head. A 50/50 chance doctors claimed. However, a wonderful Miracle was seen and the prayer warriors from Church on the Way proved the miracles of Jesus. Twenty-four hours later you walked out of the hospital with no memory of you mother's worst fear. Her miracle. Jesus cares. SELAH
You blessed your mother with so many happy memories, the Air Force people you would bring home for safe rest, great food and playing spades. Thank You for your Friendships with Bill Harrison and Bill Kennedy.
You blessed me when you married Janice Tweedy, who was at my weakest points, cooked wonderful meals, prayed and blessed me with my second grandchild.
Paul:
When we roller skated together and planted the yard in Aurora, Colorado. The many fireworks displays we all got to watch. All the construction you helped your parents and grandparents with, and the day you said yes to the Lord. THANK YOU Psalm 23 XXOO
Tina:
I have heard the saying "every mom needs a daughter" and it is so true. It is a buddy thing like the guys, Best Friends Now and Forever. My wish maker, pit bull, precious loving daughter, and my obedient Heart. Psalm 18 However, if you knew my daughter, 1 Corinthians 13 says it all about her son.
Todd:
My only grandson Todd Edwin Perry. Who is his Mimi's June bug. He has given his Mimi unconditional love throughout their times spent together and "has been an inspiration to My Life." I have promises from his lips and his hands are full with her silliness; his mom will always be cared for! That is my grandson, some day he will bear the weight on his shoulders but is being taught by example how to love unconditionally. With that, there is always forgiveness for others. His wife Megan Robertson Perry the first to receive my blessings, she befriended me and drove all night to get here. She married my grandson Todd on April 1, 2009. I so welcome her to the family, her heart is pure. She now holds the unity of my heart and brings caring with all her heart (1 Corinthians 13: 1-13) you Megan are my grandson's angel.
Rachel:
My only Easter Sunday granddaughter Rachel Carmel Peterson. Rachel loves the Lord and may she praise the Lord all of her life and thank you for all the wonderful memories of watching you play the piano and swimming the distance of the pool at age 4.
For all who read this; I choose Covenant Hospice, they get my recommendation. Now and Forever. There entire line of employees who cared, you know who you are, THANK YOU for your 1 Corinthian 13 care. Love is the great-est gift of all. Selah
My final thank you Rick Shockley so many fun times, thanks for unconditional love and my daughters soul mate Marita good luck your presence was an added blessing, and to Melody Robertson who with only a brief friendship, noticed our hair and spoke of the kid's wedding and husbands too, your love of your daughter Megan was a God send.
