I was deeply saddened to hear of Craigs passing. I worked with Craig during the pipeline and then much later at Clear AFS. Always a great guy with stories and laughter. Sometimes I would see him at the Farmers Market. I have two pieces of his ceramics. Now I can fondly remember him as I look at his artwork. RIP Craig.

We met Craig the first year we were in Fairbanks and he proved to be such a good, kind and generous friend. We traded smoked salmon recipes for years, and I still have several ceramic pieces he made. He will be missed!

Craig was an incredible artist both in glass and in pottery. He trained in classical glass arts in Italy. He was one of the few people that we would share many things with. He had a buoyant personality and was full of life. Craig was a wonder and we will miss him.

Craig was a curious guy. Always asking questions. Salmon fascinated him. He loved to catch them, eat them, dream about them. On a dip-netting adventure to Chitina, a few months after Fukushima blew up and melted down, we talked about the future of salmon and making art in Alaska. He was optimistic.

I remember dipping salmon on the Copper River with Craig and Jerry. I ducked in the tent for a nap and when I crawled out Craig had filled our limit of salmon. I didn't even care because seeing the smile on his face was enough.
