Lucas Cronce Obituary

Lucas Mark Cronce, 23, of North Pole, died Dec. 25, 2011. He was born Jan. 28, 1988, in Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
Lucas attended Ticasuk Brown Elementary School where he met some of his lifelong friends, Allan and Nick. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going on family fishing trips, hiking up Brown's Hill and biking down to the nearby Badger Gas station.
He was adventurous and imaginative. Fantasy books and movies were his favorite. He had a love for swords and knives collecting dozens of unique blades that would often end up the centerpiece of conversation when company visited.
Lucas went to school with his little brother at UAF Community and Technical College, learning the intricacies of process technology. After graduating, Lucas worked odd jobs in the Interior, such as North Slope catering, and one of his passions - welding at Alaska Tool. Luke thoroughly enjoyed working and learning the trade of welding and machining with whom he called, "the best in the business," his uncle Pete.
Lucas felt the need to do something new and made the decision to join the Alaska Air National Guard. After careful thinking and deliberation, Luke decided he wanted to know how to use and fix the most sophisticated equipment with hopes of being able to join as an avionics maintainer.
Lucas spent his spare time hanging out with his good, lifelong friends, Allan, Thomas and Dillan, playing video games and hanging out.
Lucas was a son, brother, and friend to many. He was an extremely intelligent, skilled and caring person who left this life too soon. Lucas will be missed dearly by many.
He is survived by his mother, Cathy Cronce, and his brothers, Matthew, Chris and Donnald.
Funeral services are being held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Church, 115 North Cushman St., downtown Fairbanks.

Cathy,
So sorry to hear the sad news about Lucas. My heart goes out to you for your precious loss. I too, know the unbearable pain of losing a son, at 26. It is one of the most devastating experience's a mother can face. Suddenly, everything has changed! Sometimes we wonder if God really cares about us! "...God is Love." He never causes what is bad to happen. He promises to bring an end to all suffering! This promised Hope, will include perfect health and everlasting life on a paradise earth.
By asking, may you rely on the Source of Life, to sustain you thru your intense sadness. He will grasp you by His right hand.

My heart breaks everytime I think of the tragedy you are going thru right now. Having been in this position myself, I KNOW the pain, agonizing heart aches, bewilderment, and so many more of those types feelings you are going through right now. Please know I am here for everyone if you wanna talk. I wish I could wave the magic wand and everthing would be better but that is never going to happened. Hopefully with good friends, God's Help and love for one another, we will learn to live again. I love each and everyone of you and share in your sadness this day.

Cathy, Matthew, Chris, Donald, Aunt Elaine and Uncle Arthur,

I wish I had just the right words to comfort you all but I don't think there are any words that can truly help right now. My sincere hope is that in some way you will be able to cope until the good memories of Lucas start to ease some of your pain. Please know that you are in my prayers and I am hoping that God will help you through this. He must have needed him for a special job in Heaven. Please know that my heart aches for you all. I love you and wish I could be there with you.
