Alexander Harrison

October 8, 1975 - May 5, 2025

Chapel Hill, North Carolina - Alex was the son of Mary Wadleigh Wright Harrison and John M. M. Harrison. Alex was born in Macon, GA, lived in Bluffton, SC, and moved to Chapel Hill, NC, in 1986. He was critically wounded in Bluffton, SC, in 1987, which affected the rest of his life.

When he was in the ninth grade, he was awarded the "Most Outstanding of Chapel Hill High School". He was awarded highest honors in Latin for each year for four years. He studied at Vassar College and graduated with a degree in History. He worked as a research analyst.

Alex died suddenly and quietly with his mother present. He is survived by his mother, father, and sister, Louisa.

His funeral will be May 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM graveside in the Wright family plot in Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah, GA.

I am going to miss Alex so much, as he was so well loved at Club Nova and everywhere else he went. My heart hurts knowing I didn´t get to say goodbye to him. My condolences to his family and I pray that he is somewhere beautiful.
