Wendell
Daniel "D" Ray Mabe, 38, died suddenly on Friday, February 1, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born February 17, 1974 in Cumberland County. "D" was a truck driver with Papa John's Pizza.
Funeral Service: 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.
The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Wendell.
Surviving are : Wife, Lori Mabe; Son, Nathan Taylor of Clayton; Mother, Brenda Boffey and husband Jim of Durham; Father: Ken Mabe and wife Carol of Virginia; Sister, Michelle Parrott and husband Wayne of Rougemont; Maternal Grandmother, Lucille Vaught of Blacksburg, VA;
Sister-In-Law, Vennesca Tyson of Zebulon; Brother-In-Law, Scott Rolfe of Clayton; Nieces and Nephews, Devin and Hunter Parrott, Caleigh Tyson, Justin Rolfe, Logan and Joshua Payne
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Minor Vaught, Eula and Roscoe Mabe and his mother-in-law Patricia Rolfe.

Daniel was a good friend of my son's. He was such a respectful and well-mannered young man who always made you laugh. We always looked forward to his visits. My prayers and heartfelt condolences go out to you all. May "D" soar with the angels and look down on us all.

Dear Mabe Family,
I am sincerely sorry for your loss. I did not know Daniel. However, our lives crossed paths for the very first time on Friday. You see, I was the first person to come to his aide after the crash. I just wanted you to know that I did the best I could for him and he did not pass away alone. I was with him for the last few moments of his life. I wish I could have done more. Again, I am sorry for your loss. Your entire family has been in my prayers and my family's prayers since Friday. May Daniel rest in peace and may all of your hearts heal quickly.

Brenda and Kenny, just wanted to let you know how sorry I was to hear about Daniel. It really broke my heart. I can remember him when he was little and he was just so full of himself and happy and smiling. I thought he was just a neat little kid. I saw pictures of him on FB and saw what a handsome young man he grew up to be! Absolutely no words anyone can say can help with your loss. But, know that I will continue to pray for all of the family and pray God will give you strength to get through the upcoming days and weeks. April and Scotts mom Pam.
