Ellen A. Murchison

Ellen Alice Murchison, 95, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009. She was born June 26, 1914 to the late Roderick Goldston and Annie Rebecca Arrington Murchison. Mrs. Murchison was a graduate of Rocky Mount High School, and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She was a retired Trust Officer of Planters National Bank and Trust Company. Mrs. Murchison is survived by three nephews, Roderick G. Murchison of Garden Valley, Idaho, Donald H. Murchison of Sydney, Australia and Alan L. Murchison of Cape Town, Republic of South Africa. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Ross A. Murchison. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Pineview Cemetery (section 2). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1977, Rocky Mount, NC 27802.
