I echo my sister's comments. Daddy was "that dude" when it came to brick masonry. We actually got in trouble if we didn't take a phone call message for his work correctly. My job was spreading mud with a trial when we spent our summers working for him. It was probably the hardest yet most rewarding job I've ever had in my life. As far as I'm concerned, he deserved to live a life on "vacation" during his later years. But, I do realize that it's only "The Creator" who is in charge & nonetheless, I bow down to "The Creator." That doesn't change the fact that our dad was a "special" dude.

My dad was the best brick mason to ever hit the scene. He either built or help build buildings we ride pass everyday. The "Round House" off Nash st, the "Courthouse", the "Carmike Cinema" & stantonsburg elementary school just to name a few. Being self employed for almost 40 years he taught his family willpower and the meaning of love! He will always be with me.
