Lucy Dillard Obituary

Lucy Smith Dillard, 75, of 2116 Purnell Road, formerly of Green Hill Manor in Louisburg, died Saturday, November 18, 2000. She was born in Franklin County and was the daughter of the late Bernice and Ethel Journigan Smith. She was a retired bookkeeper and was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, November 21, 2000 at Woodland Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her sons, Thomas E. "Ted" Dillard and his wife, Sally of Wake Forest and Don W. Dillard and his wife, Nancyof Kittrell; sisters, Mrs. Bob Elerick of Newport News, VA and Mrs. Paul K. Dameron of Hampton, VA; grandchildren, Lisa Pullen, Melissa Puitt, Michael Dillard, Monica Elaine Dillard and Bethany Dillard; six great-grandchildren.
Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 Saint Mary's Street, 4th Floor, Raleigh, NC 27605. Friends may visit with the family from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday evening at Bright Funeral Home. (556-5811)
