Patty and Family --

Patty will remember Myles and I were summer associates together at Exxon. Ironically I am visiting Houston as I learn this very sad news. Myles was a friend for nearly 30 years and this leaves a little hole in my heart.

My sincerest condolences to you all. Myles was a fine man.

I express my sympathy to all of the Owens family. I have great memories with Myles when were coaching our sons in their first AAU basketball experiences together a number of years ago. He was a great person, wonderful to talk to, had great enthusiasm for everything he did. I loved being around him. I will remember with fond memories the lunch that Myles and I had together at Lucky 32. He still exuded great confidence and dignity in his fight. I will miss him greatly.

Patty and family: I haven't met you yet but I will extend my condolences to you in person when you next attend a Cary MacGregor Club meeting, where I am a member. But I had met Myles at Sunrise Apex Club meetings and I know the loss of Myles is a great sorrow to them. May God bless and comfort all of you.

Our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Myles. Although we did not personally know him, his father and Kitty are friends of ours. His dad talked of him often and how proud he was of him. We felt we knew him by these conversations. Please know that our prayers are with you.

Patty and Family,

We have known you all through MDCC and being neighbors. All those countless swimming days during the summer. How good all your 3 children were on swim team, they all excelled. We are so very sadden by the passing of Miles. He fought so hard, always holding his head up. Volunteering, even when he probably had no right to be doing so. Always still helping others. He truly will be miss, but always thought of with extreme fondness and a true fighting spirit.

I grew up with "Tony" back in Northridge. We played together a lot, as our moms were best friends.

Myles was more than a businessman that supported and sought involvement in Catholic education; he was a person whose sincere heart and intention was evident in every conversation we ever shared. He appreciated the church and our local schools, and did so much to serve them.

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. In spite of his long battle, he never failed to deliver the best customer service (accompanied by his characteristic smile) to those of us fortunate enough to do business with him. He was a great guy! May God bless you all.
