Kathy,

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know that time eases loss, but it seems to pass so slowly.

My deepest sympathy to the whole family in your loss of Bart. Even though it has been years, I have always remembered his help and guidance when I began my career. I know he was a source of inspiration to you all. Sincerely, Judy Sorrell, Fayetteville, NC.

On October 20, 1987, Bart was kind enough to hire a totally unexperienced architectural graduate from NC State, and give him a chance. That graduate was me, and I worked for Bart for twenty years. I truly appreciate the chance he gave me, and all that he taught me, about architecture, business and life. We had some really great times and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kathy, Sandy and the rest of Bart's family.

I did not know Bart, but have known and loved Sallie for years, so he had to have been a great man being her brother. I will keep you all in my prayers. God will help you through this time of sorrow.

I'm really going to miss Bart's stories. The sparkle in his eye that would light up when he was just about to say something really funny... We'll miss him alot.

With deepest sympathies to Sandy,Kathy, and the rest of Bart's family and friends. In the mid to late 90's while attending a Cardinal game at old Busch Stadium two gentleman bought the the seats next to me from a scalper outside the ballpark. After a "few" beers,a lot of baseball stories, and there might have been a couple of cigars smoked, my buddy Dave Kyro and i became acquainted with Bart and John Beard. This meeting turned into an annual event and long-term friendship. Each year i would look forward to seeing Bart and John at the ballgames and dinners.Usually they would make it over one night to the restaurant i manage in Edwardsville,Il.One year i took Bart on a tour of the Louie B.Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright Collection at SIUE.I also got to know Sandy on these trips.Bart was a great person.I am going to miss his sense of humor and his e-mails.Rest in peace Bart, you will be missed, and GO REDBIRDS!!!!Your friend,Mike Mormino,Edwardsville,Il.

Kathryn and family,
I could not believe it when I read the obituaries this morning. Bart was such a great man, friend, landlord, and Wolfpack buddy. When my company was on Wade Avenue I spent lots of time hearing stories, sharing information about NCSU, and just being friends. He always took care of our needs. What a nice, friendly and great guy. Our prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. God be with you all!
