Robert Dail Obituary
A native of Wayne County, Mr. Dail was the son of the late Leona and Cynes Dail.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Gaddy Dail.
Mr. Dail served as a pilot in the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps. He retired from the Naval Reserves as a Lt. Commander. Mr. Dail also flew for American Airlines for 26 years and retired as a captain.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Glenn Phillips, Jr. and Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery with full military honors.
Mr. Dail is survived by his three sons, Charles Robert Dail and wife, Julia of Thomasville; William Buck Dail of Charlotte and James Spencer Dail of Asheville; a sister, Diane Pies of Mesa, AZ. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Lynn Weathers Dail, and many loyal and loving friends.
Memorials may be made to the Relay for Life, care of Kaye Thompson at E.J. Pope and Son, P.O. Drawer 649, Mount Olive, NC 28365.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6--8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his esidence.
