Dunn
Mr. Walter Dallas Dafford, Jr., 90, died, Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at his residence.
He was the founder of the Dafford Funeral Homes, both in Dunn and Angier. He was a faithful member of the Dunn Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and served Dunn and surrounding communities in several capacities.
Funeral service: 12:00 p.m., at Cape Fear Conference A Headquarters, 25, Beaver Road, Erwin, with Pastor Troy A. Williams, and Pastor Timothy Thomas officiating. Burial, at Resthaven Cemetery, with military and masonic honors. Public Viewing will take place at Dafford Funeral Home, Dunn, on Wednesday, 12/12/2012 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 5:00 to 8 p.m. at Dafford Funeral Home in Angier. On Thursday, 12/13/2012 viewing is from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Cape Fear Conference A Headquarters.
Survivors are his daughter, Della D. Michaux (Eric) of Durham; son, Dallas L. Dafford, Sr. (Mary) of Dunn; sister, Doretha D. Dupree of Fayetteville; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
