William Glenn Sauls

December 24, 1950 – November 17, 2015

Clayton

William "Glenn" Sauls, 64, died Tuesday morning, November 17, 2015 surrounded by family following an extended illness. Visitation and Funeral services will be Monday, November 23rd at 11:00 am at White Oak Baptist Church, 13943 Buffalo Road, Clayton, NC 27527 (Archer Lodge Community). A celebratory visitation and lunch will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. All are invited.

Glenn was born in Harnett County to the late Irene Johnson Sauls Poole and the late William Edward Sauls. He graduated from Garner High School in 1969 and soon after joined the Marine Corps. Once honorably discharged from service, Glenn quickly became an accomplished business man and was able to retire at a young age. He loved golfing, traveling, boating, the ocean, and his family.

Survivors include his brother, Mickey Sauls (Wilma); children, Michael Sauls (Mary Jane), Karen Sauls, Brandon Sauls (Kelly) and Ryan Sauls (Katharin); grandchildren, Taylor, Kassidy, Hunter, Connor, Reid, Olivia and Avery Sauls.

The family would like to thank all those that have prayed for, cared for, and visited Glenn during his final days, as well as the love and compassion so openly given by the nurses at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC.

Memorials are appreciated and can be made to the White Oak Baptist Church Care Givers, a ministry dedicated to serving families and individuals as they make their final journey, at White Oak Baptist Church, 13943 Buffalo Road, Clayton, NC 27527.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. He and I were in the same class at GSHS 1969. I remember how all the girls thought he was such a good looking boy.
May God comfort you all during this difficult time.

Many years ago Glenn and I were part of the start up team for Data General. I will always remember him for his loyalty to the Marines and his great sense of humor.
