Andrew S. Katkocin, 37, of New Fairfield, passed away on December 5, 2021, in Danbury, CT. Andrew was born in Danbury, CT to Dennis and Peggy Katkocin on April 21, 1984. He went to school at New Fairfield High School and graduated from Western Connecticut State University receiving a degree in Criminal Justice. While at West Conn., Andrew was also a member of the Football and Lacrosse teams. Andrew was a decorated 12-year veteran of the Danbury Police Department receiving several commendations for his service. Andrew loved being a police officer and serving his community. He was an avid outdoorsman and craftsman and most of all he loved spending time with his daughter, Sydney. Andrew was preceded in death by his father Dennis M. Katkocin and his beloved dog Bella. Andrew is survived by his daughter Sydney Katkocin; his brothers Matthew and his wife Crystal; Ryan and his wife Jill; and Christopher and his wife Rachael; his mother Peggy Katkocin and several nieces and nephews; and his former wife Rebecca (Cipolla) Katkocin.Visitation for Andrew will be held Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., At Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.
