Bernadine Henry Obituary

Bernadine "Dina" Henry
Bernadine Anne Henry "Dina", 90, of Danbury, CT passed away on September 17, 2021. She was born in Danbury, daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Butera) Scalzo. She is predeceased by her husband Edward Henry and brothers Sam and Frank Scalzo.
Dina's first job that she loved dearly was working as an usher at the Palace Theatre. In her early years, she worked for the former Mayor and prominent attorneys in the city of Danbury. During her career, she became an LPN, she worked at Boehringer Ingelheim and retired from Perkin Elmer.
Dina was known for her love of leopard print, elephants and roosters and always being perfectly put together from her hair to her nails and flawless skin. She was the owner of "Basket Creations by Dina," putting so much love into every basket and bow. Dina loved to dance and will be remembered every time a Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett song plays.
She will be missed by her daughter Doreen (Robert) Durgy, son Michael (Cyndi) Henry and son Bernard (Leslie) Henry. Lovingly known as "Nonnie," she will also be missed by her beloved grandchildren, Corryn (Tony) Patane, Alyse (Michael) Henry, Bernard (Michael) Henry, Alexandra Henry and great grandson, Tino Patane.
A funeral service will be held from 10-11 AM on Wednesday, September 22 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St., Danbury, CT) followed by a graveside burial at St. Peter Cemetery (71 Lake Avenue Ext., Danbury, CT).

Bernie Henry and Family I´d like to wish my deepest condolences. For as long as I´ve known Bernard I have always known him to speak highly and show unconditional love to his mother

Death of a loved one is never easy and although we have lost someone who means so much to us, we must also consider the time we were fortunate to have with them

Bernie: my brother and pack leader, I love you man. You have this crew of young men trying to spend as much time with you as possible. I admire your frankness and your swift correction when you expect more from our crew

I can only imagine that your mom has played a significant role in the making of a man that so many love and enjoy.

I love you brother, always... Thank you for everything you have always done
