Celli, D.C, MIchael
Michael A. Celli, D.C., age 94, formerly from Milford entered into rest on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Masonicare at Newtown. He was the beloved husband of the late Metta "Maxine" Logsdon Celli. Mr. Celli was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 29, 1918 son of the late Ferdinando and Isabella Frankolina Celli. He was a chiropractor in Long Island from 1965 until moving to Derby in 1989. During WWII, he worked in Washington DC for the US Navy. Mr. Celli graduated from Textile High School in Manhattan in 1936. Later, he was graduated from NY Chiropactor College also known as Columbia Institute of Chiropractic in 1965. Mr. Celli was a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the Elks in Long Island and the Blue Jay Gun Club in Long Island. He is the loving father of Sandra Morici and Barbara Loggia and brother of John Celli. Mr. Celli is the loving grandfather of Peter Morici, Amanda Rasch and her husband Michael, Thomas Loggia and Pamela Oliveri and her husband Frank and loving great grandfather of Angelina, Jolianna, Frankie and Harlee. He is predeceased by his brothers, Sam and Joseph Celli and sisters, Ann Restaino and Concetta Celli. Friends are invited to go directly to St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, 46 Church Hill Rd., Newtown on Saturday for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. His burial will follow at St. Rose Cemetery.
