Tony Cerreta Obituary
"Tony" Ralph Cerreta passed away suddenly on August 14, 2012. Born August 9, 1956 in Stamford to the late Thomas and Rosalind Andrea- Cerreta. He was of the first graduating class of West Hill High School in Stamford, Class of 1974 and then graduating Broward Community College in Davie, Florida.
Living in Ridgefield, CT "Tony" was an extremely devoted father to his five children; Anthony, Damon, Bianca, Francesca and Andrea. His life was centered around his children and his love for his family and friends.
Besides his children, "Tony" is survived by a brother Tom and his wife Donna along with his nephews Paul and Cody and nieces Jaclyn and Mariah.
"Tony" had a zest for life and everyone around him enjoyed his great sense of humor. Anyone invited to his home had a day of enjoyment that left them with a smile on their faces. He treated everyone as part of his own family.
"Tony" was employed by Winters Brothers Waste Company. The Cerreta family would like to extend a special thank you to Sean and Joe Winters and Kevin Nolan of Winters Brothers for their kindness during this most difficult time.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, on Friday August 17, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford on Saturday August 18, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St John's RC Cemetery, Darien.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for "Tony's" children's education to Anthony Thomas Cerreta, c/o Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, 06902.

Your dad was an extraordinary man. You guys and Damon & Andrea were his world. He was an amazing man and his legacy will live on through you all. What a sad loss. Tony was truly a gentleman and extremely generous with whatever he did. He had a great sense of everything....knowledge, people and we can't forget his humor! We will miss him!
