Julia Tyre Obituary
DOVER - Julia Ann Tyre, of Dover, passed away Friday, April 17, 2009, in Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 43. She was born on Nov. 10, 1965, in Woodbury, N.J. Julia earned her bachelor of science degree in elementary and special education from the University of Delaware and master of science in education of the hearing impaired from Western Maryland College. She worked at North Dover Elementary School as a third and fourth grade special education teacher. She was loved by her many students and colleagues throughout her 20 years of service in the Capitol School District. She was an avid scrap booker and enjoyed organizing weekend scrap booking events with her many friends. She is survived by husband of 15 years, James E. Tyre; daughter, Rebecca Lynn Tyre of Dover; mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. James B. Byrne of Newark; brother, Timothy J. Byrne; sister-in-law, Kimberly A. Byrne; and niece, Megan F. Byrne of Elkton, Md. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Services will be 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be sent to the Julia A. Tyre Technology Fund, c/o North Dover Elementary School, 855 State College Road, Dover, DE 19904.

I worked with Julie at North Dover, she taught my 3rd grade special ed students. I am now lucky enough to see her sweet little girl Rebecca at St. Annes because our children go there too. She was an awesome lady, mother and teacher!

Julia was one of the first people that I meet when I reported to North, She always had a smile and a kind word. She will be missed by all who's lifes she touched.
