Walter Brysiak Obituary

Walter John Brysiak, 75

SEAFORD - Walter John Brysiak of Seaford died Wednesday, May 16, 2007, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 75.

Walter was a retired welder from Sun Ship-building and Dry Dock Co. in Chester, Pa.

He was a Korean War veteran, in the 256 Tank and Tractor BTN. He was awarded a silver and bronze star, and the Purple Heart.

He was a member of the Shipbuilders Union Local 802, Shop Steward.

Walter loved to fish and bowl, and loved his life on the Broadkill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter J. Sr. and Alice (Markicky) Brysiak; and a sister, Velma Stevenson, in 1997.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Margita W. Brysiak; his children, Walter Brysiak of Kings Mountain, N.C., Leon John Brysiak of Brook Haven, Pa., Debbie Ann Barbato of Aston, Pa., Verona Rae Suiter of Annocostis, Wash., Sandra Lee Senter of Newport, N.C., Patricia Jean Brysiak of Tobyhanna, Pa., and Margaret Elizabeth Lendmesser of West Chester, Pa.; a brother, Edward Brysiak of Boothwyn, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to a charity of choice.
