ANN BERTUCCINI

BERTUCCINI, ANN CARMEL LEPRI Ann Carmel Lepri Bertuccini, 96, passed away peacefully June 27, 2014 at her home in Lafayette, LA, with her daughter, son and daughter-in-law at her side. Born and raised in New Haven, Ann was a long time resident of Foxon, East Haven. In 2012, she and her daughter relocated to Lafayette, LA to be close to her immediate family. She graduated from Commercial High School then attended a technical business school. She worked as a bookkeeper and payroll clerk for Bon- Core Wines, Inc., General Liquor, Inc., and for many years at Southern Connecticut State University, retiring in her mid-seventies. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pompeii Church where she belonged to the Ladies Guild and was a longtime supporter of their annual fund raising fair. Ann had a remarkable and enviable marriage with her beloved husband, Tom, for 67 years. They enjoyed traveling, visited many places and particularly enjoyed the casinos of Las Vegas and Foxwoods. Family was always first for her. She was a strong role model and mentor for her children and grandchildren who were also spoiled by her excellent cooking. She is survived by her children Cynthia Parrett and Thomas V. Bertuccini, MD, and his wife Paula all Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Judy Bertuccini of San Diego, CA, Vincent I. Parrett and his wife Natasha of Palo Alto, CA, and Elizabeth Green and her husband Matthew of Lafayette, LA.; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; her parents, Pasquale and Maria DeAngelis Lepri; five siblings, Daniel Lepri, Lucy Savino, Alphonse Lepri, Peter Lepri and Madelyn Davis; her grandson, David Evan Bertuccini; niece Judy and nephews Brian, Chuck and Anthony. She was a special friend and inspiration to those who knew her. She will be dearly missed. Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Wednesday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
