Anna Wideman Obituary
Anna F. Wideman, age 78, of West Haven, beloved wife to Kenneth Wideman, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 5, 2019. Born in New Haven on December 16, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Bessie (Kunza) Jones, Sr. Anna enjoyed working in hospitality and was very active within her parish, Our Lady of Victory Church. She was an avid gardener and animal lover, especially for cats.
In addition to her husband Ken of 48 years, she is survived by her children, Theresa Hathaway and her husband Douglas, Tina Wideman, grandson, Wesley Buckman, sister, Betty Pergolotti, brother, Matthew Jones, Jr., and several nieces and nephews.
The hours for visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anna's name to The ALS Association Connecticut Chapter, 4 Oxford Road - Unit E4 - Milford, CT 06460. 12/26/19 Dear Kenneth Wideman, and Tina. We were shocked to make this late discovery, that your wife Anna had passed away January 2019. Minus Anna's name on your Christmas card, I figured something happened. We express our very deepest sympathy. We have fond memmories from years past, of your family coming to our home.
