Anthony Delmonico

Delmonico, Anthony A. Anthony Andrew Delmonico, 40 of 520 Mohawk Parkway, Cape Coral, FL, formerly of East Haven died suddenly at his home on Thursday, August 11, 2011. He was the beloved son of Sharon Figlewski of East Haven, and William Grabowski of New Haven. Anthony was born in New Haven on January 22, 1971. He had resided in East Haven for most of his life, and had moved to Cape Coral six years ago to care for his elderly grandmother. Anthony was a 1990 graduate of East Haven High School. He had worked as manager at Jiffy Lube, West Haven for several years, then at the Stop & Shop Warehouse in North Haven for several more years, and then at the former Universal Distributors of North Haven for six years. While in Cape Coral he had worked as a plumber's apprentice. Anthony is also survived by his brother, Salvatore J. Delmonico, and his fiance Olimpia D'Antonio of East Haven, his maternal grandmother Henrietta Figlewski of Cape Coral, his uncle and aunt Stanely A. and Deborah Figlewski of Rocky Mount, NC and cousins Stash and Andrew Figlewski, Jason Clayton, and Ashley Joyner of Rocky Mount. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Stanley R. Figlewski. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Torello-Iacobucci Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven, The Rev. Francis Snell officiating. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Memorial contributions in Anthony's name may be made to the American Diabetes Assn., 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
