Anthony Pinto Obituary

Pinto , Anthony "Tony," Jr.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, Anthony "Tony" John Pinto, Jr. (Junior) of West Palm Beach, Florida, on February 1, 2019. He passed peacefully surrounded by his four daughters. He was born to the late Anthony J. Pinto, Sr. and Mary Amato Pinto of New Haven, Connecticut.
Tony graduated from Wilbur Cross High School in 1961 and later attended Bryant College in Rhode Island. He was married to Carol Glowacki Pinto is 1964 in Orange, Connecticut, and together they raised four daughters.
Tony was a real estate broker and commercial developer in Connecticut. He worked for the Fusco Corporation in his early years and continued his success in commercial real estate until his retirement.
He was also an accomplished professional pool player, who went on to win several tournaments as a member of the Renegades, including wins in Las Vegas.
Anthony could fill a room when he entered with his contagious sense of humor and smile. He was known for his legendary Fourth of July fireworks, passed onto him by his late grandfather Frank Amato, his love for the New York Giants and his generous heart.
In his later years, Tony enjoyed the company of his partner and companion of 9 years, Ann Marie Mercurio of Clinton, Connecticut, who passed in 2016. Together they shared their love with family from holiday parties to impromptu gatherings on "the seawall" at their home in Clinton, Connecticut. To see them laughing and dancing the night away together, would inspire love and happiness to all that knew them.
Tony is survived by his sister, Francis Festa (Robert Festa) and their two sons Robert and David. His four daughters, Maria Pinto (Jodie Bechard), Audra Pinto (Brian Mahoney), Nicole Pinto (Toby Barnes) and Erica Pinto (Adam Parker).
He is also survived by his grandsons Rowan and Keane Mahoney, his former wife Carol Pinto, girlfriend Cynthia Anderson of West Palm Beach, Florida, and many family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting you make a donation on his behalf to a charity of your choice and to pass on Random Acts of Kindness to others.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at St. Michael Church 29 Wooster Pl., New Haven, CT at 11 a.m.
