Jose Leite Obituary

LEITE, JOSE VIEIRA Jose Vieira Leite, 84, of Middletown Avenue, Northford, passed away peacefully Friday, June 1, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria Felicidade Leite. Born in Porto, Portugal on March 12, 1928; son of the late Joaquim Vieira Dos Santos and Julia Antonia Leite. Jose had worked aa an Auto Electrician most of his life in Portugal; coming to the United States in 1975 and later worked as a Machinist for H.B. Ives until his retirement. Jose was a member of the Portugese Club of Wallingford; was a soccer referee in Portugal and the U.S. and was an avid FC Porto fan. Father of Jose Vieira Leite and his wife Anne Kellett of New Haven, Antonio Joaquim Vieira Leite and his wife Sarah Leite of Guilford, Mario Vieira Leite of Northford. Grandfather of Tiago Kellett Vieira Leite, Maximus Zilka Leite, Marco Kellett Vieira Leite, Jonathan Joaquim Leite and Amalia Clodfelter Leite. Predeceased by his brothers Antonio Dos Santos Leite and Manuel Vieira Leite. His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Tuesday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Monica Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Northford Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Monday from 5 to 8 pm. Should friends desire memorial contribution may be made to St. Monica Church, 1331 Middletown Ave., Northford, CT 06472.www.northhavenfuneral.com.
