Josephine Singer Obituary
Josephine A. Singer, 81, of North Branford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 18th, 2021, at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of James E. Singer. Josephine was born in New Haven on May 23, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy M. Laygon Rocco. Josephine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother who loved her family unconditionally. Mother of Donna Melillo, Anne (Robert) Golino, James Singer, Jr., Susan (John) Cretella, Barbara (David) Schettino, Thomas (Sandra) Singer and the late Coral Golebiewski and Anthony Melillo. Sister of Mary Criscuolo. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to meet directly at the Office of All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven on Wednesday morning, Sept. 22nd, at 10:45 and follow her funeral procession to the graveside for an 11:00 service. Without readily being aware, Josephine, Mother of my Friend Tony, Classmate Coral and my Cousins on my Father's side, the Singers was always a nice Lady and will sadly be missed.

I send my sincere condolences to Josephine's family. I knew Josephine from many, many years ago when she lived on Popular St. in New Haven, CT. Her kids were young, she was a really nice lady. We had alot of good laughs together. I'm sorry to hear of her passing. Love you Josephine. RIP

To all of Jo's family and friends, I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I was lucky enough to work with her years ago and she always made me laugh, she had a great sense of humor. Much love to all of you. Rest in Peace Jo.
