Peter A. De Angelis of Wallingford, 80, departed this life on September 23, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Geraldine (Codianne) De Angelis of 57 years. Peter was born in New Haven, CT on February 21, 1942 to the late Vincent and Mary (Dorsi) De Angelis.
Peter grew up in New Haven and was a graduate of Eli Whitney, Class of 1960. He was a member of the US Navy, where he served on the USS Randolph. Pete retired from Stop and Shop distribution center after 30 years of employment. He enjoyed his time fishing, hunting, golfing, and his trips to the casinos. He was an avid Yankee and Giants fan; he never missed a game. Peter loved spending time with his family.
Peter is survived by his son, Michael DeAngelis; daughter, Danielle (DeAngelis) Indorf and her husband, William Indorf. He has three grandchildren, Michael DeAngelis, Christopher Bennet and Kimberly Bennet; and two great-grandchildren, Lucian and Lilian. He is also survived by his sisters Cecilia Carotenuto, Janet Hanson, Georgette Miller, Maria Curd; and his sister-in-law, Toni Gianfriddo. Pete was predeceased by his two brothers, Roger and Charles Bellmore. He has many dearly loved nieces and nephews, and friends that felt more like family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 29 at 11am at Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford, CT 06492. The family will receive visitors prior to Mass from 8:30am to 10:30am at The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St. ,Wallingford, CT 06492. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org . The B.C.
