Barbara, Barbara - had no idea, Sal led the good life and included you and what you added to his life too was enrichment. Sorry to all of you. But what a battle he fought.

When they say to know someone is to love them they were surely talking about my brother. To know Sal was to love him.
There are no words to do justice to such a wonderful , kind and compassionate person who touched so many of our lives in so many ways . He was a unique and gentle soul made with rich integrity and an honest spirit . He will be greatly missed .
He was a warrior doing battle with this devastating disease against all odds . For years he fought long and hard and endured with remarkable strength , stamina and integrity so much more than any of us could have imagined . Never complaining always forging ahead with every treatment as if it were a new adventure ,a renewed lease , a reason to go on , clinging to every thread of hope that allowed him more time with his family , his friends , his grandchildren and the things he loved .
Sal was a movie buff, an avid Scorsese fan and an expert in movie trivia; no one knew more about films than Sal. He enjoyed his vacations and dining out . He and his wife Barbara traveled the States exploring different terrain and discovering new eateries .
He was highly successful in his longtime career as Director of IT at CCM , his formal education and his military training and achievements . From Valley Forge Military Academy to the rank of lieutenant in the Armed Forces he made his family proud.
He was a true soldier like the military he admired and respected. He stood tall and brave our hero on the front line , never giving up the fight or backing down ,excepting each new challenge no matter the odds or difficulty.
Sal's spirit will live with honor in our hearts forever as the true soldier and hero he was .

To my dear friend and long-time CCM colleague Sal Rascati:
Thanks for all the great courage you displayed winning the battle against cancer for so, so long before you passed on.
May I have the strength to summon up half the courage you mustered when the biggest challenges are presented in my life.
Thanks for the great lunches at Pepe's, your countless movie reviews, sage computer advice and for bringing back the old school phrases "that's not hip" and "can you dig it?"
Who's better than you -- no one!
