Joseph Pinto Obituary

HARDYSTON - Joseph R. Pinto Sr., 88, of the Stockholm section of Hardyston, formerly of Lodi, died on Friday, June 6, 2008.

Born in Garfield, he lived most of his life in Lodi and Stockholm the past three years. He was the founder and owner of Pinto Service in Lodi for 54 years.

He was the beloved husband of the late Gloria Dettoni Pinto, who died in 1995; also predeceased by his son Joseph Jr. in 2007, his grandson Gabriel in 1985, and his brother Carmine.

Devoted father of Frank of Wayne, Charles and wife, Patricia, of Stockholm, and Steven and wife, Patricia, of Park Ridge; loving grandfather of Frank, Carla, Sabrina, Tara, Anthony, Charles, Phillip, Joseph, Nicole, Steven, Kathryne, Megan; and great-grandfather of 12; brother-in-law of Mildred Pinto of Fla.; and father-in-law of Anita Pinto of Hasbrouck Heights.

Viewing will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday at Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield, (973)340-7077. A final visitation will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin R.C. Church, Garfield.
