Matthew Offerman Obituary
Matthew was born in Newark and raised in Byram Twp. He worked as returns coordinator for Hewlett-Packard from 1979 to 2001.
Matthew loved to play golf, softball and darts. He was also an avid sports fan, particularly the Yankees, Jets and Raiders.
Son of the late Mathias Offerman and Elizabeth (Shaw) Mysiewicz, Matthew is survived by his partner, Sandra Carr and her son, Rick Fichter, of Newton; his brothers, Mark Offerman and wife, Joanne, of Cranberry Lake, and Michael Offerman, of Rockaway; his sister, Elizabeth Robertson, of Budd Lake; his nephew, Matthias Offerman of Virginia; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 22, from noon to 2 p.m., at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, with a Time of Sharing at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Ave, Newton, NJ 07860. Online condolences at www.smithmccrackenfuneralhome.com. The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude and thanks to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice and the staff at Barn Hill Sparta Hall for their outstanding care and compassion.
