Edward Berte Obituary
Edward "Ed" Ralph Berte, of Union, KY passed away at his residence under the care of St. Elizabeth Hospice with his loving wife at his side on Monday, August 28, 2017 at the age of 81. He was born in St. Bernard, OH on April 14, 1936; the son on Edward H. and Wenonah Berte. Ed retired from P&G after 30 years as a manager and enjoyed golfing, reading and counseling C.E.A.D. He had battled courageously against cancer since 2004. Ed was a man of integrity and wit and had a sense of humor that instantly brought joy to everyone he came into contact with. He will be loved and cherished forever by his wife of 31 years, Darlene; children, Jeff (Rhonda) Berte, Debbie Berte, Cindy (Marc) Froning, Jean (Dr. Clifford) Gidlund, George (Janet) McDonald and Dan (Daisey) McDonald; brother, Dr. Neil (Anne) Berte; grandchildren, Brad Berte, Matt Berte, Allyce Froning, Alex Froning Andy Froning, Jim Stache, Kyle McDonald, Claire McDonald, Tyler McDonald and Emma McDonald; great-grandson, J.P. Stache; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A visitation for Ed will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 2551 Dixie Highway, Lakeside Park, KY 41017.
