Amund Djuve Obituary

DJUVE Amund Djuve died September 29, 2006. He was 84 years old. He was born in Bergen, Norway to the late Ole and Gurine Djuve and was a resident of Madisonville, LA for many years. He is the husband of the late Evelyn Gitz Djuve; brother of the late Lars Djuve. He is survived by his five children, Cecilie Djuve Turner, Amund Djuve, Kirsten Djuve, Astrid Djuve Koppenol and Olav Djuve. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Chalmette as an electrical engineer. He was a member of the Norwegian Seaman's Church in New Orleans. He attended the St. Tammany Cardiac Rehab program for many years where he met many dear friends and truly enjoyed himself. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3, 2006 from 10-12:00 noon at Schoen Funeral Home in Covington. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 from the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Theo Dendinger Cemetery in Madisonville. Arrangements by Schoen Funeral Home, Covington.
