August Majoria Obituary

A retired bartender for the New Orleans Racetrack, Commander's Palace, Bruning's Restaurant and Timphony's, he passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Canon Hospice. The son of Joseph and Josephine Cannialato Majoria, he was 75, a resident of New Orleans and a U.S. Navy veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Foster Majoria. He is survived by his daughters, Stacie Majoria Borrello (John) and Ruthie M. Majoria; sons, Allen Majoria (Robin), David R. Majoria (Kim), Salvador A. Majoria (Jane), Christopher G. Majoria and Tobias Majoria; brothers, Frank Majoria (Kathleen), Pascal A. Majoria (Leona), Carlo Majoria, Murphy Majoria Sr., Joseph Majoria Jr. and Salvador A. Majoria; grandchildren, David R. Majoria, Sara Scott (Chad), Joey Majoria, River Majoria, Christine Majoria, Elizabeth Majoria, Sally Majoria, Tyler Vadell, Allen Majoria, Jessica LeBlanc, Jackson and Claire Bollello, Theresa Majoria, Shannon Ervin (William), and Shauns Ervin (Brittany); and great-grandchildren, Chad, Christian, Chase Magosing, Hailee Ervin and Shyanne, Cayleb Smith, Shaun Jr. and Leyah Ervin. His special interests included gardening, playing cards with friends, and making things out of wood.

Growing up on Race and Constance I saw Augie every day.He was like another big brother to me.My condolences to his entire family.
