Charles "Matt" Matthew Jones, 40, of Lacombe, Louisiana, passed away on September 18, 2024. Born on March 10, 1984, in Metairie, Louisiana. Matt grew up in Kenner, graduated from Crescent City Baptist High School and pursued a career as an electrician. Matt was a devoted father who enjoyed coaching his son's basketball and football teams, cherished family beach trips, loved to fish, and was a loyal fan of the Saints and LSU. Matt was also a fantastic cook who enjoyed sharing his culinary creations with family and friends. His silly sense of humor always kept everyone laughing; he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his son, Jordan Jones; his father, Charles F. Jones, III; his mother, Judy Heller Jones; his co-parent Crystin Puderer; his sister, Amanda Jones Gonzalez; his niece, Amelia Gonzalez; his grandmother, Catherine Heller; his aunts, Barbara Jones, Janice Hopkins, Cindy Barbe; his uncle, Harold Heller, Jr. (Paulette); and numerous cousins. Matt was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles F. Jones, Jr. and Eleanor R. Jones, and his maternal grandparents, Etta Lou Heller and Harold Heller, Sr. A visitation for Matt will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Grace Funeral Home, located at 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM.
