Charles Joseph "Charlie" Loup Sr.

Charles ""Charlie"" Joseph Loup, Sr., age 78, entered peacefully into heaven at his residence in Marrero, LA. He was surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband of Loyce Matherne Loup of 58 years. A loving father of Charles Joseph Loup, Jr. (Patty), Lou Ann Loup, Curtis James Loup (Mary), Lee Anna Loup Dufrene (Ted), Lori Ann Loup Thiel (the late Keith) and Lisa Ann Loup Moran (Joseph). A proud grandfather of Peter Loup, Matthew Loup (Nicole), Gina Loup Garner (Ernest), Alexis Loup, Crystal Loup, James Loup (Theresa), Erica Marie Dufrene, Shayna Higginbotham(Tony), Maghen Higginbotham, Brittany Higginbotham, Hayden Thiel and a great grandfather of 11 great grandchildren, with one on the way. Son of the late Lucile Boudreaux Loup and Noah Loup. Brother of Cathy Loup, Rose Vegas and the late Shirley Lee. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, 2 grand dogs (Scrappy and Precious) and friends. ""Charlie"" worked as a crane operator out of the Union Local 406 for many years for several companies in the greater New Orleans area. Upon retirement he enjoyed raising his chickens, gardening, watching horse racing and mostly spending time with his grandchildren and family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11:00 am at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA.
