Corey Wilson Cosie

Corey Wilson Cosie entered eternal rest on August 27, 2024, at the age of 52. Corey is survived by his wife Shadana Sorrell Cosie, his mother Alice Cosie Williams, his grandmother Ella Rita Sanchez, children; Tyrique, Coreynisha and Raydell Menville, stepchildren; Garlyn and Gabe Stockman, Keenan Sorrell, Kelzie, Kelton (Laila), and Kyren Lewis of Houston, TX, two grandchildren, six step grandchildren, brothers; Germaine, Shane (Destiny), and Cody Williams, Terrance, Julius Sanchez, sisters; LaShandre Major, Katedra Williams, brother-in-law; Keenan Sorrell, sister-in-law; Monya Sorrell, mother-in-law; Harriette J. Sorrell, uncles; Perry (Darlene), and Lyndell Cosie, Tommy Green, Jeffery Sanchez; aunts; Carolyn Cosie Johnson (Cedric), Kathleen Sanchez. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was a resident of Chalmette, and a former resident of New Orleans, La where he was educated in the Orleans Public School System. Preceded in death by his grandparents Wilson and Yvonne Young Cosie, father; Rodney Sanchez, stepfather; Michael Joseph Williams, father-in-law; Phillip Sorrell, and Uncle Jeffery Sanchez. All relatives, friends of the family, employees of Lambeth House, TCI, Walmart, Associated Terminals (St. Bernard), Touro Infirmary Hospital, Mt. Olive B.C., Bethlehem B.C., and neighboring churches are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service on Thursday, September 12, 2024, for 1:30 p.m. at The Boyd Family Funeral Home, 5001 Chef Menteur Hwy, New Orleans, LA 70126.
