Darryl "Pete" Weatherspoon departed this life on Wednesday May 10, 2023. Beloved son of Lorine Stamps Weatherspoon and the late Ernest Smith. Devoted Father of Darryl (Jessica) Goirl, Dawand Young, Anita and Larry Weatherspoon. Brother of Gloria Fredericks, Georgia (Herman) Buggage, Yetta and Larry (Renita) Weatherspoon and the late Ernest Weatherspoon. Grandson of the late Spurgeon, Sr., and Daisy Stamps. Darryl was the uncle of the late Dalton Fredericks and the late Cyanne Fredericks. He was the nephew of the late Enner Sayles and Josie S. (late Wallace, Sr.) Craft. Great uncle of the late Sidney Landry. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 12 nieces and nephews and a host of aunts , uncles, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age 58. A native and lifelong resident of Harvey, LA. Relatives and friends of the family also Pastors, Officers and Members of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Israel Baptist Church and all neighboring churches, Employees of D&J Handyman Services, LLC, Sal's, Jefferson Parish Public School System, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and MCX Services are invited to attend Funeral Services on Saturday May 27, 2023 at 11:00am at Israel Baptist Church, 1612 Ester Street, Harvey, LA. 70058.
