Dianne Hubbard

1948 - 2022

Dianne "Red" Jenkins Hubbard, age 73, was called home by her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Atrium Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born November 24, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Ernestine Jenkins. She was a graduate of Booker T, Washington High School. Dianne truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; Chatting with friends and family, "bar hopping" through the city, yelling at the tv during a Saints game, thinking she's the coach, playing cards, and of course bingo. For years, she was as a loving coach to girls softball, volleyball, and basketball teams at A.L Davis Park and was a dedicated employee at the Census Bureau. She is survived by her children William " Man" Hubbard IV (Shewanda Hubbard) Keisha Hubbard and nephew/son Eric Jenkins; 7 grandchildren Datron Cooks, Terrica Farve,Laron Hubbard, Zerron Hubbard, Shawn Matthews, Dominic Matthews and William Hubbard V; 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Dianne was preceded in death by her grandmother Pearl Jackson (like a second mom), son Derrick Antoine Hubbard, brother Larry Jenkins, and sister Semora Jenkins. On Saturday, October 15, 2022, Friends, and Family are welcome to celebrate the life of Sis. Dianne Jenkins Hubbard at Rhodes Funeral Home 3933 Washington Ave, New Orleans, La 70125, Visitation 12:00 pm., Services at 1:00 pm., officiating Pastor Derrick Beaulieu, Blessed Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
