Fay Ann Gaines

Fay Ann Jackson Gaines, 70, formerly of New Orleans, LA, resident of Hammond, LA, departed this life on Friday, December 14, 2018. Fay was born on July 1, 1948 to the late Henry Sr. and Lillie S. Jackson. She was married to the love of her life, Ronald Gaines, for over 49 years. When she became ill, they embraced life to the fullest sharing and nurturing their love for each other. Fay's love was unconditional and her caring spirit continued until her death. A graduate of Booker T. Washington Senior High School (1966) and Southern University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1989. Fay was a former employee with the City of New Orleans Sanitation Department for 34 years until her retirement. She leaves to cherish her memory and legacy, her devoted husband, Ronald Gaines, four siblings, Henry Jackson, Jr., Ronald L. Jackson, Pam J. Sherbia (Odenton, Maryland) and Jacqueline (Thomas) Jones (Silver Spring, Maryland) and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home on Friday, December 21, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. Visitation begins at 10:00 A.M. Interment, Mt.
