Frederick Joseph Faust Jr.

Frederick Joseph Faust Jr., died peacefully on February 2, 2023 at the age of 89. He was born in New Orleans, LA and raised in Chalmette, LA where he lived until Hurricane Katrina then he relocated to Baton Rouge, LA. He was the loving husband of Rhoda Grand Faust for 70 years. Proud father of Fritz Faust III (Dawn), Thomas Faust, Amber Faust, Greg Faust (Desiree), Monica Hauptmann (Anthony), Jennifer Whitney (Bill) and Jessica Faust. Proud grandfather to Melissa Hartmann (David), Melanie Faust (Adam), Fritz Faust IV, Melinda Faust, Gregory Faust II (Erika), Anthony "Tony" Hauptmann II and Saoirse Spitzfaden; great grandfather to Hannah Hartmann, Emma Hartmann, Kennedy Faust, Alexander Faust, Jude Clesi and Cecilia Clesi. Survived by his sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick J. Faust Sr. and Sybil Cassagne Faust; his son Kevin Faust. Frederick honorably served in the United States Air Force where he met his beautiful wife Rhoda. He later went on to work for Kaiser Aluminum and Faust Salvage Yard. He enjoyed reading, traveling and telling stories from his past. He also loved walking the dogs around the neighborhood, talking to anyone he encountered. One of Frederick's biggest accomplishments was being a devoted, kind, caring and loving husband and father to his beautiful wife and children. He proudly and honorably fought for his country and family his entire life. He will be missed by us all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 11:00AM- 1:00 PM.
