George Solomon Obituary

SOLOMON George Martin Solomon, age 62 years, at Metairie, LA, on Wednesday, May 14, 2008. Beloved father of Traci Solomon Roane (Ripley), Carey S. Solomon and Sunny R. Solomon. Brother of Barbara S. Spiegel and Vicki S. Kohn. Son of the late Daniel R. and Sunny B. Solomon. Also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Grandfather of Jack H. Roane and Patrick Roane. Mr. Solomon was a native of Brooklyn, NY, a resident of New Orleans, LA for the past 60 years and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a Marketing Director and Administrator for Equity Closing Services, LLC and former Marketing Director for Prudential Gardner Realtors. Relatives, friends and employees of Equity Closing are invited to attend Funeral Services from the Jefferson home of THARP-SONTHEIMER-THARP, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. at 43rd Street, Metairie, LA on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rabbi Robert Loewy officiating. Visitation on Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment with family and close friends will follow in Hebrew Rest Cemetery No. 3. Kindly omit flowers. Memorials to the American Cancer Society or the Sunshine Kids, 2814 Virginia, Houston, TX 77098 are suggested. Information: (504) 835-2341.

George was dear friend even though we did not see him in a good while. We enjoyed working with him at Brown Medical. He was a caring and giving person and loved his kids. He will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched. We will pray for George and his family.
