Dear Sclafini family,

It is with much sadness that I heard of Glenn's sudden passing away.

I, like the rest of our Melody Drive family, have many great memories of times spent just hanging out with Glenn and the rest of our crew on our front porch right across the street from the Sclafini home.

Glenn was such a great source of laughter and good friendship that helped make our neighborhood a great place to be.

Please know that you are all in my prayers for comfort and peace as you grieve his loss.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. May Perpetual Light shine upon him. By the Mercy of God may Glenn, and all the faithful departed Rest In Peace. Amen.

Ronald and Terry I am so sorry to hear this news. I go back to high school with Glenn and we stayed in touch after that, but unfortunately I hadn't seen him in awhile. He was a good guy and we always joked around when I saw him. I met Cristy a couple of times and Glenn seemed to really love her. So sorry again to the family.

Dear Cristy and family,
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. So sorry for the loss of your dear loved one.

I have so many great memories of Glenn, Terry and our "gang" from Melody Drive. We would spend countless hours having the best time just talking about nothing. Glenn would provide the comic relief. It was like Seinfeld, but instead of taking place in Jerry's apartment, it was on Ms. Ione's porch. I can't remember all of the stories but I'll never forget the friendships. May God comfort Glenn's family and bless his soul.

Cristy....Glenn was such a wonderfully nice man. He was always so nice to me and I remember him always having a smile on his face...even when he was in the kitchen at his restaurant frying up the BEST chicken ever. May God bless his soul.

Christy, you and your wonderful family will be in my prayers and Masses. God bless you!

To Cristy, her family, and all the Sclafinis,

We offer our deepest sympathy in this grief. Glenn was Derryl's best friend for 53 years...and is and will always be terribly missed. Glenn was the brother Derryl did not have. They were a comedy skit sometimes. Over the years, Derryl and Glenn argued, disagreed, but laughed, always stayed in touch. In the years we have known Glenn, out of all the people we know, Glenn was always an absolute gentleman. He was dependable; you could stand on his word. It was easy for us to ask him to be Ryan's Godfather. So much life shared, going to the gym, running, buying microwaves, betas, krugerrands, gun shopping, home remodeling, deer hunting, duck hunting, fishing, car shopping, even complaining about the Saints and life! Glad to be his friend for 53 years! Glenn will always be missed.

Our love to Glenn's family,
Derryl and Mary Battaglia

Cristy, Ronald, Marie, Terry, Edie, My Condolences to all of you and the rest of the family. Glenn was a great friend, and I will certainly miss his humor and the times we've spent together discussing football, politics, and whatever else Glenn had in mind that day.

Sending deepest sympathy to your family. There are so many great memories of Glenn and his terrific sense of humor. Even my step kids, and now grandson, have picked up some of Glenns sayings theyve picked up from me, which I picked up from him!

My heart breaks for your family and friends. Glenn will be terrifically missed. May God bless and comfort you in your grief.
Love,
Corrina
