Herbert Johnson

Herbert Johnson was born to the late Lewis C. Slay and Kizzie Johnson in Yantley, AL. He departed this life on February 27, 2024, peacefully at home with his family. He became a native New Orleanian and later he and his family moved to Slidell and lived there until his death. Herbert is survived by his wife Camille, children Niki, Marques, Sr. (fiancée Tarsha) and Valencia (Dominick), grandchildren Daisanae, I'Shyne, and Denim Scott, and Marques Johnson, Jr. Also survived by siblings Carolyn, Edith (Rodie), Pastor Joe (Clementine), and Jackie, 7 nephews and 5 nieces, 3 godchildren, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, friends and many brothers and sisters in Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Lonnie, Sr. (Ida) and Kirk (Annette), paternal and maternal grandparents, 1 nephew, 1 niece, 1 great-niece, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
