James Haynes Obituary

James Maurice Haynes entered peacefully into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Thursday, January 7, 2022, at the age of 58. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. James was a graduate of Donaldsonville High School. He was employed as an Engineer with the City of New Orleans. Loving husband of Patrice Cook-Haynes. Devoted father of Mara, Briyanna, Stacie, Jaylyn, Jordyn, and Jamaal. Beloved son of Isabel Haynes and the late Frank Haynes, Sr. Brother of David Bruce (Mary) Harris, Rudo Hondo, Frank (Naomi) Haynes, Jr., Steve (Tanya) Haynes, Lily Armstead, Cynthia (Norris) Dorsey, Lois Haynes, Trudy Haynes, Jane Berrien (his twin), and the late Debra Hagan. James is also survived b 2 grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family and employees of the City of New Orleans are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuar Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA. To view and sign the guestbook, please go to www.davismortuaryservice.com. Due to Covid-19 pandemic attendance will be limited. It is mandatory everyone attending wear a face mask or some type of face covering.
